I get the chills every time I see people break / dislocate their ankle or leg like Josh in this video. 11 years ago, I fell in our kitchen and my foot got caught on the toe gap under the sink. I twisted when I fell and I broke my ankle and leg. My ankle was so twisted, that it was almost back wards! I ended up breaking 3 bones in my foot, 8 breaks in my ankle and sheared the bone off of my tibia and fibula. 11 operations later and I am now sitting here with a below the knee amputation.

Serious question: is this series actual documentary (like our "Trauma: Life in the ER") or reenactments (like our "Tales from the ER")? I ask because it just doesn't seem as loud and messy as real life in the former. Maybe they're just quieter and cleaner over there!

I could definitely relate to the panic attacks she describes. They don’t happen often, but when they do it completely blindsides me. I know my trigger now, it’s actually a very specific odor. It’s weird how the brain works, though I’m very thankful it’s a cologne brand hardly any wear instead of all men in general. My mind thinks it’s protecting me by warning of danger, but the way it does puts me in danger. So now I carry Xanax and a copy of the prescription just in case, despite the last panic attack having been in 2015. Because I never know when I will encounter that smell again, if ever.

Man I felt for Norman and started to cry when he talked about the loss of his wife, my grandmother passed away six months shy of what would’ve been my grandparents 65th wedding anniversary and it was so hard on my grandfather that he didn’t even want to live anymore right after it happened because he was so lost without my grandmother and although it’s been almost 4.5 years it’s been really hard for him navigating life without her so I know he can relate to Norman’s experience big time.

Disgusting!!! GO HOME AND COOK YOUR OWN FOOD!!! Is he 37 and a grandfather? .... Say no more, the damn low-life trash!!! Completely unlikable. Clearly no proper upbringing. Urghhh Can the gf not pull her finger out her arse and go buy him food or are they in the hospital for a free meal because they have no food at home? Totally repulsive!!!

The little girl was adorable. Her mum showed no fear in front of her daughter to keep any anxieties from getting across. Kids can pick up on the smallest facial expressions and voice inflections. I bet she had a big cry of relief in private later with her husband though. Great job mom:)

Sad that Clive passed away. I know how his wife feels because I’ve been a widow for three years. The way I feel is that I exist, I’m not living. I’m just simply existing. Our husbands are our whole world and when they’re gone, our world is shattered. I know I look around and I can see my husband everywhere I go because we’ve been everywhere so many times over the past 31years that we were together. Sometimes is painful because the longing for them to be there with you is so strong and some days it seems you could cope. My heart goes out to her. Motorcycle accidents are so bad and that was a pretty bad banged up leg. I’m hoping he will be OK for working now. Ann, that little girl is absolutely adorable. She’s going to be the best big sister teaching her little sister everything as she learns.

The day before I brought my mama to my home for hospice care I got into a tiff with the nurse at the hospital. She had stopped breathing during the night before and I could not understand why they wanted to release her. I knew she had a DNR. I knew her medical history and that she was near the end but I just could NOT get it straight in my head. I was so stupid, and crazy sad. I eventually went back and apologized to the nurse. I think it's a pretty normal reaction. I had all the information I needed but wasn't ready to accept the truth of the moment. The nurse was incredibly kind...thank goodness. My mama passed away 3 weeks later with me beside her , holding her hand, and singing "you are my sunshine". It is breathtakingly hard to lose your mama.

I am so impressed by Lisa sister. She’s carried this all on her shoulders and will continue to do that as long as Lisa is there with her. We all want to go back to when we’re teenagers. We had our health. We did a lot of fun things we had freedom, and usually somebody says they want to go back to feel all that again, but Lisa sister wanted to do spend that timeframe with her sister again when she could sit down and talk with her and have a conversation with her. I really felt for the sisters looking after their dad and being there for him a lot of elderly people do not have family that will come or even care about them at this stage of their lives. I wish them all the best. 🥰🩷

I was born 6 weeks early in a rural hospital after my mom had a premature rupture. She was in labor for 3 days. I was born as the doctors were preparing for a c-section. I wasn’t breathing well so I was air lifted a larger hospital almost immediately. I spent 11 weeks in the nicu because I was smaller than I should’ve been, but the helicopter ride shook the fluid out of my lungs! My first word was helicopter, and now I’m training to be a flight nurse! Thankfully I only have mild asthma now as a complication from being a preemie. I love all the wonderful doctors, nurses, and staff that took care of me and my parents. I hope to one day be able to give the same comfort and care to another family in need.
